Most of January was a wash in the exercise department. My clean eating was so so as well. The first week of January I did the meal plan from the “Reset” phase of the P.I.N.K. Method. Lots of raw veggies and absolutely no processed garbage. I felt amazing! And then I got a nasty cold that left me down and out for the next two weeks. I can’t imagine how long it would have lasted had I not been eating so clean!
You don’t do any type of exercising while on the reset phase. I honestly don’t think you would have the energy to do much cardio or strength training. It’s more about prepping your body. My work-outs didn’t start until the third week of January. I went for a short 1 mile run on the treadmill at the gym. I was seriously worried that I wouldn’t be able to run that length but it actually felt great. I started at 5 mph and ended at 5.5 mph. I probably could have pushed it and ran a bit longer but like I said I was freaking out. I finished the run with 20 minutes of incline interval walking.
I started the P.I.N.K. Method work-outs and they are HARD! Hurt so good though. I also did one of the Brazilian Butt Lift dvds with my sister. It was the cardio dance one and it was so much FUN! I did another treadmill run for 1.5 miles. It was a lot harder this time. I almost bailed on the run and then at the last minute I went but I was seriously dragging. I’m happy and kind of shocked that I made it through! The last few days of the month have been a wash for work-outs and healthy eating.
We had Matt’s family over for his Mother’s Birthday. We made lots of delicious things and I haven’t stopped indulging since. I had to throw the rest of it out this morning when my willpower was stronger than it has been all week.
So January was just ok health wise. I’m going to try planning my work-outs ahead of time for February. I’m hopeful that I’ll get more in this way.
